Every summer, Sandy Springs residents get the opportunity to participate in the “Take it to the River” Lantern Parade. It’s a walk where residents pay tribute to the iconic Chattahoochee River, by carrying brightly-colored and lighted globes, parasols, hats and whimsical creatures.
