Welcome to Brookhaven

Located in Dekalb County and known for its tree-lined Old Atlanta residential streets, Brookhaven officially became a city in 2012 but the area itself began in the early 1900s with a neighborhood built around Brookhaven Country Club (later bought by Capital City Club which it is today). Many of the stunning estate homes in this original, historic section of Brookhaven were built in this time period.

Over the years, Brookhaven has expanded into the 12 square miles that it is today and offers a mix of neighborhoods – such as Ashford Park, Lynwood Park, Drew Valley, and Brookhaven Heights featuring a wide variety of home styles including hundred-year-old cottages and bungalows, midcentury ranch homes and new construction.

Situated just inside I-285, Brookhaven does encompass “in town” living, but with a delightful walkable setting more reminiscent of quaint smaller towns – a true “urban-suburban” feel. There is a personal vibe to every experience in beautiful Brookhaven – from the myriad of locally owned restaurants, unique shops, and vibrant arts scene to the beautiful parks and natural areas… the many lively neighborhoods offer a laid-back respite from the nearby hustle of the big city.

With its central location just minutes from Buckhead and downtown Atlanta, a fantastic park system, and strong schools (both public and private), Brookhaven is a sought-after address for families. And for a city with a relatively small footprint (just 12 square miles, but with fifteen parks spread among its gorgeous tree-lined canopy), there is a tremendous amount “going on” for your family to enjoy!
